¡Hola! Me llamo Señorita Ferreira. I graduated from Rutgers University in 2008, Cum Laude, with a major in Spanish and a minor in Psychology. I am an active member of Phi Sigma Iota, Delta Epsilon Iota, Phi Beta Kappa. This past May, I received my Masters degree in the Foreign Language Education K-12 program from the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. While at Rutgers, I was a part of the All-Girl Cheerleading team and a board member of Teachers’ Initiative for MultiAmerica.
I was born in Edison and graduated from John P. Stevens in 2004. I cannot believe my dream of becoming a teacher will finally be coming true this year in such a great district! I’ve traveled to many states across the U.S., Mexico, Spain, and Portugal and hope to learn about the difference places my students have visited. I come from a Portuguese background yet have a true passion for every culture I come into contact with. I am fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and took a few classes in Italian. I truly hope that every student in my classroom has an open mind and develops a true interest in the diverse cultures that surround us! I look forward to our journey together!
